Don't you just love the air of the weekend? It always seems to be so much more clearer and the sun seems to shine just a lil bit brighter . Or could it be that my excitement of having two free days to roam about with no care in the world has allowed my imagination to run wild. Whatever the case I got into a few things this weekend. It consisted of pastel blocking, a trip to china town, a date with indian food and perusing the Met. Click inside to see how it all went down.

Over the weekend I pulled up my sleeves and my got my hands dirty working in this thick fro of mines. I got all fancy and created a homemade avacado deep conditioner which I learned about through my trusty hair manual, Curly Girl: The Handbook. While my creative juices were following I decided to take a stab at trying a twist out. (Sidenote: I've done twistouts in the past and they have always come out looking like the devil.) To my surprise I managed to pull off a funky (in a good way) twistout that I actually liked. Click inside to see how you can create a homemade avocado hair recipe of your own.

Yes the shorts are back. The weather was a tad bit on the warmer side yesterday and what better way to show my excitement than to break out the shorts. If you been with me since the beginning you've probably seen me rock these bad boys here and here. Because I wasn't fully committed that spring was here to stay I layered up with tights a turtle neck and a jacket.

Hola ladies and gents. It's been quite some time since I posted an outfit post. I'd love to say that my hiatus stems from me being super busy and yadda yadda. That would make little ol me seem so important. Truth is I have been so lazy these days. I blame it on these winter months leaving me on most nights crawled up on my couch channel surfing. (Sigh) well enough about that. On to business.
As some of you may know I am always excited to share my thrifted finds and this time is no different. I recently scored this pleated skirt and light blue shirt on one of my thrifting escapades. Both pieces came in are you ready....under ten dollars. Go me (doing cabbage patch). Yes thrifted goal mines always calls for a little celebration and an old school dance or two. LOL So what have you guys thrifted lately?
